Tappin' Away

Addie was not happy yesterday to find out that Lily was going to Tap class, and she was going to stay home for her nap!

The night before I even got out some hand me down patent leather shoes for Addie to wear. She called them her "bab-bay" (ballet) shoes. She even hung them on a hanger with some tights (which is what we do with Lily's dance clothes. I knew it was not going to be pretty when Lily got ready to go and left with out her. She was holding on to Lily's hand with dear life, and crying "my Lil lil". It was so sad and sweet that my heart just melted! Lily is right in the middle in all pink with black shoes.

Lily had a great first tap class and she loved it. Loud stomping is definitely her thing. She hasn't learned yet that the shoes can do some of the work for her, and she doesn't need to stomp so hard to make the noise. I say, who cares, this is great for her.

Sabine said Lily was the longest girl in the class. I love the English / German translation! :)

Edit: Sabine read this and corrected me, she said that Lily was the LOUDEST girl in class not the longest! HAHA. Now that, my friends, does not shock me one bit. She is her mother's daughter...
